the little picture

i'm not a big picture kind of girl. never have been.

i see things in terms of the here and now. (it's made for some unfortunately short-sighted decisions in my life.) i've noticed more lately how that translates in my work. not so many grand and sweeping landscapes. not so much with the wider angles. i work best up close and detailed.

not so different really from how i spend my days.

it's interesting to me what an artist is most comfortable expressing: what they know or what they dream of.
