Menemsha Quilt

This sunny quilt was made to welcome a new baby into the world and was born of multiple inspirations.

I guess it's plain from the photo that I gravitate towards these colors. Those four pitchers are favorites among my collection. And I guess you can also see that my walls are painted yellow.

I started the construction of the blocks after returning from our summer vacation in August. It's hard not to be inspired by the light and the colors on Martha's Vineyard.

Our favorite way to spend the evenings there is to watch the sunset over Menemsha Bay.

I hope Baby Miles spends many sunny moments wrapped in it's colors.
