Flashes of Hope
Last month I was honored to have the opportunity to volunteer at an event sponsored by a wonderful charity. Flashes of Hope is a non-profit organization whose goal is to photograph every child with cancer until every child is cured. The concept is simple: transform hospital playrooms, waiting areas and even hallways into photography studios. (From their website) "For a few moments, it doesn't seem like a hospital. Children who haven't wanted to get out of bed are suddenly laughing and smiling. And, nurses take a break from administering medicine to join in the fun." I was thrilled to be able to give a little bit of my time to these families and I can't wait to do it again. Thank you Flashes of Hope for allowing me to be a part of what you do.
And a special thanks to my friend Amy who drove all the way from Pennsylvania to help out for the day!
